A quick and easy family dinner recipe made with just a few simple ingredients! Your kids are going to love this creative way to make pizza with refrigerated biscuit dough.
Dump everything into a large baking dish and dinner is done! That’s my favorite kind of meal, especially on busy school nights when dinner time is when I feel done for the day.
This easy pizza casserole is a life saver for busy moms and dads on a budget with hangry kids to feed. You can customize it to your liking with a variety of pizza toppings; sometimes we do half pepperoni and peppers for the adults and half cheese and olives for the kids. Either way, it’s super fast to make with hardly any preparation or clean up required.
Your picky eaters are going to love this fun and easy way to make pizza!
- 2 cans buttermilk biscuits
- 1 (15oz) jar pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- pepperoni (or pizza toppings of choice)
Step 1 Open up both cans of biscuits and use a pizza cutter or knife to cut them into quarters like shown below.
Step 2 Grease a 9×13 baking dish and evenly place the dough into the dish. Try to assemble them in a single layer, placing any that need to be slightly stacked near the edges of the pan where they bake the quickest.
Step 3 Use a spoon or small spatula to evenly spread the pizza sauce over top and then sprinkle on the shredded mozzarella cheese. You could also include some parmesan if you have it on hand!
Step 4 Top with your favorite pizza toppings which could include pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, onions, fresh herbs, etc.
Step 5 Bake uncovered in a 350° F oven for 25-30 minutes or until the dough is cooked through and the cheese starts to brown. The center takes the longest to cook so check there first for doneness.
Eat this yummy pizza with your hands or eat it with a fork. It doesn’t matter. We are talking about fluffy biscuits smothered in pizza sauce and cheese! This dinner casserole is delicious, fun to make, and definitely a hit with picky eaters of all ages.

Recipe Notes
- If you have a small family to feed or just like your pizza really saucy, you can use a single can of biscuits for this recipe.
- Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in your air fryer.
- Feel free to add extra flavor with Italian seasoning, parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, herbs or anything else you’d like.
- Yummy toppings for this recipe include pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, onions, basil, spinach, etc. For small leafy greens like spinach, I’d place them under the cheese or mix them into the sauce to prevent them from burning.
